MEET THE RUSH TEAM
We have our wonderful pledge trainers and Co-Chairs to thank for the success of 25+ members per school semester of RUSH. Learn more about our team here-- there's so many more positions in our fraternity and our RUSH team is the first that most members become exposed to.
Crystal Cory:
Pledge Trainer

Hi, my name is Crystal! I love the family that APO has given me, and the volunteering is pretty fantastic as well. Some of my favorite things are listening to music, having adventures, and hanging out with friends. I love APO and I'm so excited to get you involved!

Erin Grimmit:
RUSH Co-Chair

Greetings! My name is Erin G, and I'm a junior in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. With this I will either become a Speech Pathologist or an Audiologist. I love coffee more than any other human I know, and I also love chickens more than any other human I know. I decided to join APO out of the blue, and it has been one of my greatest spontaneous decisions. I have made many wonderful friends while helping others, what more could you ask for?

Liz Eddy:
RUSH Co-Chair

My name is Liz and I'm a forever senior in Computer Information Technology. In my free time, I like to play video games (Fallout and Elder Scrolls series), read books (Brave New World and 1984), and watch Netflix (Mad Men, 30 Rock, American Horror Story, and Adventure Time). I just rushed and pledged APO last semester, so the whole process is still fresh in my brain!  Don't be afraid to hit me up if you have any questions or want to discuss how great the movie Up is. Adventure is out there!

Ashley Rodenhouse:
PT Buddy

I'm a Senior in Computer Graphics Technology. I like hanging with friends, puppies, photography, road trips, and volunteering. You will get to know me as the loud and always happy going gal! I love APO and all the opportunities it has made for me. I can't wait to see what's in store this semester!

Caleb Pirtle:

I am a junior aspiring to become a professional in Human Resources. My major is Organizational Leadership and Supervision and my minor is Psychology. I am a military brat (Marine);if you are interested, come chat with me some time and I can many stories with you. I am very involved on campus; aside from Alpha Phi Omega, I am a resident assistant in Owen Hall, a member of a christian fellowship ministry, the Black Male Excellence Network, a contestant for Zeta Tau Alpha's BMOC charity event, and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I love to talk and laugh, so please do not be shy! Also, I am a huge sports fan.

Emily McNair:
PT Buddy

Hey! My name is Emily but a lot of people call me Steve or Felicia. I’m a senior in Industrial Engineering and I’ll be graduating next December. APO has basically consumed my life and it’s where I’ve met all of my closest friends. I pledged Spring 2012 and have been secretary and pledge trainer. Besides school and APO, I like just chilling with my friends, playing video games, going on adventures, pulling pranks, and procrastinating all adult responsibilities. If you ever need any help with pledging, I’m more than happy to help!

Karly Judd:
PT Buddy

I'm Karly Judd and I am from the Krenek Fall 2014 Pledge Class! I will be your Service PT Buddy helping you plan your class pledge project! My rush experience was so much fun last semester that I wanted to go through it again with you guys! I am in the College of Agriculture majoring in Food Science with a minor in Pet Food Processing! I am from a small town in Southern Indiana called New Albany, which is about 10 minutes away from Louisville, KY. My favorite animal would have to be a cat, considering I have a spoiled one myself (unfortunately I don't have her with me this spring). My favorite project is the Almost Home Humane Society because I love that we get to interact with all the animals since I'm away from my beloved ones that are back home! I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you this semester! Welcome to the Gene Cernan Pledge Class of Spring 2015!

Sam Denton:
PT Buddy

My name is Sam and I’m a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering Technology. I'm pretty chill. I like to hangout, listen to music and have a good time. A fun fact about me is that I know how to drive a Zamboni. I spontaneously decided to join APO and it has since been an integral part of my college experience.

Aaron Grisel:
Pledge Trainer

My name is Aaron and I’m a junior majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. I have always had a love for sports and spent 15 years of my life playing baseball; it’s kind of ironic since I may be the clumsiest person you will meet. I also enjoy anything nature related, sarcasm, serving the community, adrenaline, and spending time with friends.  I spontaneously decided to join APO and it has since been an integral part of my college experience.

My name's Bryan. I'm a Junior in Chemistry.   I joined APO my sophomore year, and it's been one of the best decisions of my college career.  You can call me Bryan, B-Ry, or Batman.  Any of those are fine.

Emily Austin:
PT Buddy

Hi y’all! My name is Emily Austin, and I’m your Old Master for this semester! That means I’m repledging with you, because I loved it so much the first time! I’m here to help you through the pledging process in any way you need, be it a project buddy, someone to go to the office with, or a study partner. I’m a senior in Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics from Jeffersonville, a town just outside of Louisville, Kentucky. I claim Louisville as my home and will bear all Kentucky jokes that come along with that :) . I pledged Alpha Phi Omega in the Fall of 2011, making me a Zlatkovich. I’ve been around awhile, because this chapter is that great! I hope to get to know you all this semester, so come hang out in the office with me!

Joe Toney:
PT Buddy

Hi! My name is Joe, and I'm a senior in Management at Krannert. I just finished pledging, and since it really was a great experience I wanted to turn around and share that with the next group. I've got a lot of hobbies, from board games and piano to snowboarding and cooking. Hit me up for a trip to Mama Ines for some homemade churros. My favorite thing about APO is the selfless spirit it invites, and I look forward to seeing how you will bring that spirit to life!

Kellie DeVaughn:
PT Buddy

My name is Kellie DeVine. I'm a Junior in Human Services. In the Fall I'll be in Michigan for an internship but I don't know what it is yet so be ready for updates! I joined APO fall my freshman year. Jamie made me because  I had no friends. And that's okay because now I have 100 (there are 100 actives)! I am really friendly and am looking forward to getting to know all of you! My number is (765)541-8635 if you ever want to talk! I love Disney movies so talk to me about them! I enjoy reading and painting..and lots more things! I'm in a long term marriage with Emily Stinebaugh  and Mateo Huerta, they are also very nice, obviously. My cat's name is Leeooow, he's the cutest cat...I can show you pictures! If you have issues with your pledge parents or haven't heard from them, please talk to me about it so I can find someone that appreciates you because you are kind, you are smart and you are important! Pledging is scary because you don't know anyone, but hopefully  now you know me a little better I am here for you.
